General Information

We have corporate offices and distribution centers located in Corona, CA; Orlando, FL; and Grand Prairie, TX.
Tara golf carts are assembled in the United States; Parts and accessories are manufactured in China.
The TARA golf cart models represent the pinnacle of excellence in the light transportation vehicle category.
Upon purchasing a golf cart, the buyer receives a bill of sale. It’s important to consult with your local municipality to ascertain if you are eligible to apply for a title.
The VIN, known as Vehicle Identification Number, is only used for LSV (Low Speed Vehicles), VIN plate is located on the chassis frame, behind the front wheel of the driver side, normally under the serial number plate.

The serial number on your cart can help you determine the manufacturing year. The serial number of each vehicle is located on the chassis frame, behind the front wheel of the driver side. Warranty

The duration and coverage of your vehicle’s warranty vary depending on the model. Please consult your dealer or distributor, or refer to the warranty section in your owner’s manual for specific details.
Your vehicle’s warranty remains valid only if modifications are made using Tara-authorized accessories and are installed by a Tara-authorized service dealer. Any other modifications may void the warranty.
The warranty is non-transferable and remains with the original purchaser. However, we recommend contacting your local dealer to confirm any specifics related to your situation.
For any issues with your vehicle, please bring it to an authorized Tara dealer for diagnosis and repair. If the repairs fall under warranty coverage, the dealer will manage all necessary paperwork with Tara for you. To ensure potential warranty coverage, repairs must be conducted at an authorized Tara dealership.
No, warranty work on your vehicle must be performed by an authorized Tara dealer to ensure compliance with warranty conditions.

Yes, any authorized Tara dealer can perform maintenance and warranty work on your cart. While the original selling dealer is primarily responsible for warranty service, you may choose to use a different authorized Tara dealer. However, be aware that this dealer may charge for labor. Please note that having warranty work done by a dealer not authorized by Tara could potentially void your warranty.

Warranty Terms
Register Your Vehicle

LIMITED VEHICLE WARRANTY (ONLY IN U.S A)

WARRANTY MUST BE ACTIVATED WITHIN (1) ONE WEEK FOLLOWING THE DATE OF PURCHASE OF GOLF CART.

HDK Plastic Factory LTD USA warrants to the original retail registered purchaser sold by a duly authorized Tara Electric Vehicles dealer shall be free from any defects in material or workmanship for two (2) years from the date of Purchase from authorized dealer (this is not applicable to 8-p and larger buses which remain at 1 year warranty) with respect to defective parts subject to the terms of this Limited Warranty, as follows:

  • Warranty Starts from the date of the purchasing the vehicle from authorized dealer.
  • Warranty covers parts for two (2) years, excluding wear parts such as windshield, tires, brakes and seats.
  • Warranty for any rental usage vehicles, taxi or other excessive use application is six (6) months and must be registered as such.
  • Warranty for the Frame shall be free from defect in materials for life time; frame is defined as chassis, which does not include drive trains, suspension, roof supports, paint and corrosion.
  • This Warranty applies only to the authorized dealers, not to any subsequent dealers and end users. Authorized dealers fulfill obligations of warranty for subsequent dealers and end users.
  • If the vehicles are not sold in 6 months from the date of the purchasing from HDK Plastic Factory LTD USA,the warranty will be counted from the last day of the third month of the purchasing the vehicle from HDK Plastic Factory LTD USA.
  • HDK will provide warranty for EVOLUTION batteries.
  • HDK provides 4-year warranty for EVOLUTION Controller. Cracks in the case, or post breakage are not defects and are classified as abuse and neglect and are not under warranty.
  • HDK will provide 4-year warranty for EVOLUTION chargers.
